Provider questions
Everything about fees, payouts, and how much control you keep over your own calendar.
Getting started
What exactly is Last Minute Bookings?
A marketplace for same-day appointments. You post the openings in your day, whether that is a cancellation, a gap or a slot that never filled, and nearby clients looking for something today can find and book them.
It is not scheduling software and it does not replace your calendar. It is a way to put unsold time in front of people who are looking right now.
Do I have to change my booking software?
No. Keep whatever you already run. We are a demand layer that sits on top of your existing schedule and shows the openings you choose to post. We are building connections to the main scheduling platforms now, we will confirm which ones are supported when we open in your area, and there will be a way to manage openings directly if yours is not covered.
Who can join?
Any business that sells time by the appointment, solo practitioners as much as multi-room studios.
Opening with: massage and bodywork, nail salons, hair, chiropractic, acupuncture, estheticians, makeup artists, personal training and private instruction such as yoga and pilates, art classes, intuitive readings, car detailing, bike rental and repair, and white water rafting.
Coming later: auto and mechanical work, photography, private chefs, dentistry, ski gear rental and fitting, horseback riding, ATV rental, wildlife tours, party buses, custom hat making and live performances.
When does it launch?
We are pre-launch and opening one area at a time, so there is real availability from day one rather than a half-empty map. Founding providers get priority placement in their zip code and we will be in touch directly before their area goes live. Joining the waitlist costs nothing and commits you to nothing.
Fees and payouts
What does it cost to join?
Nothing. No signup fee, no subscription, no listing fee. You pay a commission only when a booking that came through the marketplace is completed.
How much is the commission?
10% commission, plus the credit card processing fee, taken from completed bookings that came through the marketplace.
Do I pay a fee on my own existing clients?
Not on bookings they make with you the way they always have. Those sit outside the platform entirely.
What if a marketplace client comes back directly?
Then they are your client. If they rebook with you directly next month or next year, that is your relationship and your revenue, and we do not charge for introducing somebody twice.
The one thing to know: any booking made through the app carries the commission, including one that came from a waitlist notification we sent. If the booking came through us, the commission applies.
Can my existing clients use it to find my openings?
Yes, and it saves you the messages. Your own clients can get notified about the last-minute openings you post, so instead of asking whether you can squeeze them in they can see the answer and book it. It is particularly useful if your own online calendar only takes bookings more than 24 hours out, since those clients currently have no way to see a gap that opens today.
When do I get paid?
Clients pay in the app when they book, and we pass the money to you on a regular payout schedule with the commission already deducted. Every booking shows you the fee and the net amount at the time it lands, so nothing on the statement is a surprise. Exact payout timing will be confirmed before your area goes live.
Do I have to discount my prices?
No. You set the price on every opening you post, and you can post all of them at your full rate.
There is no automatic discounting. If you want to reduce the price on a particular slot, you do that when you post it.
Your schedule
Which of my slots get posted?
Only the ones you select. Nothing is posted automatically and nothing is pulled from your calendar without you.
You pick the open times you want to offer and choose which services to offer in each one. Plenty of providers keep their prime hours off the marketplace completely and use it only for the awkward mid-week afternoons. That is a perfectly good way to use it.
Can someone book a slot starting in ten minutes?
Only if you post it. Because every opening is one you selected, nothing becomes bookable that you did not put there yourself.
What stops me being double booked?
An opening comes off the marketplace as soon as it is taken, whether that is through us or in your own calendar. Keeping those two in step is the core of what we build, and it is the thing we will test hardest before your area opens.
Can my staff and contractors use it?
Yes. Team members post their own availability under your business, and clients are matched to whoever is genuinely free. You stop being the person who works out who is available.
Can I limit how many staff use the same room or equipment?
Yes. You can allot resources to specific services, so where studio space or materials are limited, two team members cannot post the same slot against the same resource.
Can I pause or leave?
Any time, for as long as you like. Pause for an afternoon, a week or a whole off-season. No contract, no minimum, no penalty.
Cancellations and no-shows
What happens if a marketplace client doesn't turn up?
Because clients pay when they book rather than when they arrive, a no-show does not leave you with nothing. The full no-show policy will be confirmed in the provider terms before your area goes live.
What if the client cancels?
More than 24 hours out they can cancel, and the slot goes straight back into the marketplace, which is the whole point. It gets a second chance to sell instead of just becoming a hole.
Inside 24 hours the booking stands. If something genuinely unavoidable comes up on their side we will work with you on either a refund or a discount on a future booking, rather than either party simply absorbing it.
What if I have to cancel?
Things happen, and you can cancel from the app. The client is refunded and notified straight away.
Every last-minute booking is a two-way confirmation: you commit to the opening, the client commits to showing up. That is what makes short notice reliable for both sides. If a pattern of cancellations develops, our admin team is alerted and we may pause or suspend the account.
Your business and your clients
Will this train my clients to wait for a discount?
You control the price on every opening, so you can run at full rate indefinitely, and there is no automatic discounting to drift into.
It is also worth remembering who is looking here: people who want something today, not your regulars hunting for a deal on a slot they would have booked anyway.
Who owns the client relationship?
You do. You get what you need to deliver the appointment and to have them back. What that includes, and what you may do with it, is set out in the provider terms and the privacy policy.
Do I need to prove I'm licensed?
Where a service is licensed or regulated, yes. We ask for the relevant credentials before you can take bookings.
Where a licence is not required in your state, for example massage in Wyoming, we ask for proof of your business registration in that state instead.
It protects clients, and it protects the providers who do things properly.
