This Privacy Policy explains how Last Minute Bookings, Inc., doing business as Last Minute Bookings (LMB, we, us, or our), collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information when customers, service providers, staff members, and visitors use our mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the Platform).
1. Personal Information We Collect
Information you provide
- Account and identity information, such as name, email address, phone number, password credentials, profile photo, date of birth or age confirmation, and account role.
- Provider and business information, such as business name, service listings, professional licenses, insurance, staff profiles, availability, addresses, tax or payout information, and verification documents.
- Booking and transaction information, such as selected service, provider, appointment time, original and discounted prices, coupons or credits, fees, payment status, refunds, and payout records.
- Communications and content, including in-app chat messages, customer-support requests, reviews, photos, service concerns, coupon offers, acceptances or declines, dispute evidence, and provider responses.
- Payment information submitted to Stripe or another processor. LMB may receive transaction identifiers, card type, last four digits, billing details, payment status, and fraud signals, but does not receive or store full card numbers.
Information collected automatically
- Device and technical data, such as IP address, device identifiers, browser or app version, operating system, language, network information, and crash logs.
- Usage data, such as searches, views, clicks, bookings, feature interactions, notification activity, referring pages, and timestamps.
- Location information, such as approximate location inferred from IP address and, with device permission, precise or nearby location used while the user actively searches for or books relevant appointments.
- Cookies, pixels, SDKs, and similar technologies used for authentication, preferences, analytics, security, communications, and Platform performance.
Information from other sources
We may receive information from providers, payment processors, identity or fraud-prevention partners, referral partners, app stores, social sign-in services, public sources, and other users where permitted by law.
2. How We Use Personal Information
- Create and manage accounts; verify users and providers; and maintain profiles and listings.
- Show nearby availability; facilitate bookings; process payments, commissions, fees, payouts, discounts, credits, cancellations, and refunds.
- Connect customers and providers and share information necessary to perform a booked service.
- Operate cancellation and refund workflows; verify whether refund requests were submitted within 24 hours; host and monitor in-app chat; administer future-service coupons; record approvals, denials, acceptances, declines, escalations, and support decisions; detect repeated abuse; and maintain an audit record.
- Send confirmations, reminders, account notices, safety messages, support responses, and marketing communications consistent with user choices.
- Prevent fraud, chargebacks, misuse, security incidents, and prohibited conduct; enforce our Terms; and comply with legal obligations.
- Analyze and improve the Platform, develop features, measure performance, troubleshoot errors, and conduct research using aggregated or deidentified information where appropriate.
3. How We Disclose Personal Information
We may disclose personal information to the following recipients for the purposes described in this Policy:
- Customers and providers. We share booking, profile, service, communication, and location details reasonably necessary to arrange and complete appointments and resolve service concerns.
- Service providers and contractors. These may include Stripe and other payment vendors, cloud hosting, communications, analytics, mapping, identity verification, fraud prevention, customer support, security, and professional advisers.
- Legal and safety recipients. We may disclose information to law enforcement, regulators, courts, insurers, or others when we reasonably believe disclosure is required by law or necessary to protect rights, safety, security, and the integrity of the Platform.
- Business transactions. Information may be disclosed in connection with a financing, merger, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate safeguards.
- With direction or consent. We may disclose information when a user directs us to do so or gives consent.
LMB does not sell personal information for money and does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. If LMB changes these practices, LMB will update this Policy and provide any required notices and opt-out methods before doing so.
4. Payments
Payment and payout services are provided by Stripe or another payment processor. Those companies process information under their own privacy notices. LMB uses payment-related information to complete transactions, calculate the 10% provider commission on the Original Service Price, apply discounts and fees, prevent fraud, handle refunds and chargebacks, and reconcile provider payouts.
5. Location and Device Permissions
Users may manage location, camera, photo-library, contacts, and notification permissions through device settings. Disabling a permission may limit features that depend on it. LMB collects precise location only when a user actively uses a location-based feature and does not continuously collect precise location while the app is closed.
6. Data Retention
We retain account information while an account is active and generally for up to three years after closure; transaction, payout, tax, refund, chargeback, and dispute records for up to seven years; in-app chat and customer-support records for up to three years after the related matter closes; and security logs for up to two years. We may retain information longer when reasonably necessary for litigation, legal holds, fraud prevention, safety, enforcement, or other legal obligations. When information is no longer needed, we delete, deidentify, or securely isolate it.
7. Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Users should use unique passwords and promptly report suspected unauthorized activity.
8. User Choices and Privacy Rights
- Access, correct, or update certain account information through the Platform.
- Opt out of promotional email or text messages using the instructions in the message; transactional messages may continue.
- Control mobile notifications and device permissions through device settings.
- Request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, objection, or withdrawal of consent where applicable.
- Appeal a denied privacy request where required by applicable law.
To submit a request, contact Info@last-minutebookings.com. We may verify identity and authority before completing a request. Authorized agents may submit requests where permitted. We will not unlawfully discriminate against a user for exercising privacy rights.
9. California Privacy Notice
California law may provide rights to know the categories and specific pieces of personal information collected; know the sources, purposes, and recipients; correct inaccurate information; delete information subject to exceptions; obtain a portable copy; and opt out of sale, sharing, or certain uses of sensitive personal information. The categories described in Section 1 may include identifiers; customer records; commercial information; internet or electronic activity; geolocation; professional information; user content that may contain audio, visual, or similar information; inferences; and sensitive information such as precise geolocation or account credentials.
The purposes and recipient categories are described in Sections 2 and 3. To the extent LMB is subject to the CCPA, this section is intended to provide the required California notice. California residents may contact Info@last-minutebookings.com to exercise applicable rights. Because LMB does not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, LMB does not currently provide a sale-or-sharing opt-out link. LMB will honor legally recognized opt-out preference signals when required by law.
10. Children’s Privacy
The Platform is intended for users age 18 and older and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have done so, we will take appropriate steps to delete it. Parents or guardians may contact Info@last-minutebookings.com.
11. International Data Transfers
LMB and its service providers may process information in the United States and other countries where privacy protections may differ. Where required, we use recognized safeguards for international transfers.
12. Third-Party Services
The Platform may link to provider pages, payment services, maps, social networks, or other third-party services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this Policy.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy. We will post the revised version and update the effective date. We will provide additional notice or obtain consent for material changes when required by law.
