The basics
What is Last Minute Bookings?
An app for today, tomorrow and the day after. Providers near you publish the openings in their day, including slots that just came free because somebody cancelled, and you can see and book what is genuinely available in the next few hours.
It is for the times you have an hour spare now, not the times you are planning three weeks ahead.
Does it cost anything to use?
No. The app is free for clients. You pay the provider for the appointment and nothing extra to us.
Where is it available?
We are pre-launch, and opening one area at a time rather than everywhere at once, so that when it goes live near you there are real openings to book rather than an empty map. Join the waitlist and we will tell you when your area is live.
Can I download it now?
Not yet. The app is in development for iPhone and Android, and there is nothing to install today. Joining the waitlist is the way to be told the moment there is.
Booking
Is the availability I'm seeing real?
Yes. Every opening is put there by the provider from their own schedule, and it comes off the marketplace the moment it is taken.
This is the entire reason the app exists. A list of maybes would be worse than useless.
How last-minute can I actually book?
As soon as the next opening allows. Providers choose which slots to post and how much notice they need, because a massage therapist has a room to turn around and a barber may not. Some slots are bookable an hour out and some need longer.
Can I search by the time I'm free?
Yes, and that is the main way to use it. Tell it the window you have and it shows what fits. You can also browse by service type, and results are ordered by how soon you can be there.
Can I see openings my usual provider hasn't put online?
That is one of the better reasons to use it. Plenty of providers only let you book more than 24 hours ahead on their own website, so a gap this afternoon never appears there. If they post that gap here, you can see it and take it without messaging anyone to ask whether they can squeeze you in.
How do I pay?
In the app, when you book. The price shown is the price you pay, so there is nothing to settle when you arrive and no surprise at the counter.
Is last-minute always cheaper?
No, and it is worth being straight about that. The provider sets the price on every opening they post. Some reduce it, most do not. You always see the actual price before you book, and a reduced price is marked clearly.
What you are getting here is availability, not a discount.
What if nothing's free when I look?
Join the waitlist for a provider or a time window and you will be told when something opens. Cancellations happen constantly, which is exactly the inventory this app is built to catch.
If plans change
Can I cancel or reschedule?
More than 24 hours before the appointment, yes, from the app. Inside 24 hours the booking stands, because the provider has almost no chance of selling that hour again at that notice.
If something genuinely unavoidable comes up, get in touch. We will work with the provider to arrange either a refund or a discount on a future booking.
What if the provider cancels on me?
You are notified straight away and refunded. We also track it, because providers who cancel often make the marketplace less trustworthy for everyone.
What if the appointment isn't what I booked?
Get in touch and we will look into it. Providers on the marketplace are expected to deliver the service at the price and length that was listed.
Trust and privacy
Are the providers checked?
Yes. Where a service is licensed or regulated we ask providers for the relevant credentials before they can take bookings. Where a licence is not required in their state, we ask for proof of their business registration instead.
A last-minute booking should not mean lowering your standards, and a marketplace that let anyone list would not be worth using.
Can I trust the ratings?
Ratings come only from appointments that actually happened through the app. Nobody can review a provider they never booked.
What do you do with my information?
We share with the provider what they need to deliver your appointment, and we do not sell your personal information. The full detail is in the privacy policy.
I joined the waitlist. Will you spam me?
No. We will email you when the app is opening in your area and very little in between. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can ask us to remove you entirely at any time.
